The Umbrella Poem by robert keaty

The Umbrella

Rating: 2.0

saw you yesterday
You were kissing the wind
The sun was on your face

It was raining on my face
The sun shined brightly upon me
But without a trace

I was going to ask you for an umbrella
But I realized that you were the umbrella
And I knew you wouldn't cover me

Uncovered and exposed
Tears sliding, imprinting on my nose

The wind took you away but it left a scent
I tried to inhale the past
Memories here, time gone to fast

No time to mourn lost love
Here comes the storm
