Time
Trickles
Day by day.
In your heart
Stands a question.
When you walk
Under the rain
You always take your umbrella.
Sometimes it echoes
through the night -
'Does she need one? '
Her feet were getting wet
But she didn't care.
Day by day
Time trickles unnoticed,
Subtly, like a thief.
You are the umbrella man.
Millions of umbrellas
Are hidden in your chest.
As a child you dreamed
To save the world.
Your heart learned a lesson -
The world did not need a savior.
So you kept them -
The umbrellas -
Locked behind an iron door.
That night when
Her feet were getting wet
The door suddenly burst open.
Like a little bird flipping in the air
Came out the umbrella -
The very special one.
She needed it
And she took it.
Many days and nights
Have followed one another,
Time has its hidden agenda -
'Frorget, forget me not,
When it rains
I never carry one.
I think people need a Savior.'
You are the umbrella man -
Time cannot change your name.
Millions of umbrellas
Are hidden in your chest.
A question echoes in the night -
'Does she need one?
Does she need one? '
