The Unconditioned Love - Poem by Duong Tam Quoc

Who gave you the holy love
In this planet
Who gave you the big blue sky
Clearing the clouds for the sunshine

The collector of babies' breaths
Beautiful scent that has been spread
The singer of sweet lullabies
Helps you sleep soundly at night

The one who guides your feet
From the first time you learn to walk
The one who hugs and wipes your tears
When falling down, you were in fears

A loving breastmilk provider
Wishes all good things would occur
For your healthy future
With strong mind and strong love
To enhance your growth

The stimulator of your duty
Towards family and country
Teaches you how to follow God
To give back what you've got

As a holy shot
When you realize
Who had given birth to you
You would recognize, her life is for you!

Duong Tam Quoc, you did a great job. This is nothing but excellent. I hope and pray God for all mothers in this planet to love their children in the expressing way of this poem. (Report)Reply

Cam an, Ong Quoc! This is a very beautiful tribute to loving, caring mothers everywhere. As a mother myself, I appreciate the love of a mother for her children.
(I am an American who has used the name Hoang Yen for the past 25 years; the name was given to me by the Vietnamese people who heard me sing 'Long Me' and other beautiful VN songs in cultural shows. Someday I would love to visit Vietnam!)
