The Unseen Me Poem by Muskan Malik

The Unseen Me

You felt guilty in front of the whole world
for not being you for so long
you apologized a lot
when the only person you left alone
was no one, but you
while everyone was in motion
you froze at a place
when you wanted someone to hold you
but then you saw people holding those
who express and cry
but you,
you were hiding
from the world
but at the same time you wanted to be
discovered
you were dying inside
but looked so alive outside
you craved kindness from the people
but pretended like you don't need anything
the complexity inside of you
left you silent in front of them
It left you unable to talk about things
that live inside
that is harsh on you
but you look so confused
when you try to speak
confused between knowing
and not knowing yourself

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I tried to express the complexity of life through my words. We all go through so many stages in life, sometimes its harsh on our soul but it also leaves us unable to express what we feel.in moments when I feel invisible among the crowds, I try to express my feelings through my words.
