The Vampire Poem by Mario Colombo

The Vampire

I hack away at their veins
I'm a vampire
They'll fear my name
They cry for me
I don't mind it
I'm very violent
In the night I move with silence
A swift shadow I am
This man has been through a lot most couldn't withstand
What is your name?
They ask me time and time again
What is your name, sir?
They will never ever truly comprehend
The vampire that is deep within
Some say my energy is contagious
Is it, my friend?
I'll drink the blood from your neck before this poem ends
