The Vault Poem by Manager Poet

The Vault

Each of us maintains a safe place in our heart.
It is our emotional vault where certain feelings we impart.
Six or more inches of the finest steal makes up our door.
Don’t forget the reinforced concrete, combination locks,
and alarm systems galore.

Is all this protection necessary for our emotions to safely
reside?
Or is all this another way for us to simply protect our fragile
pride?
What moves you to give another the combination to your heart?
Never forget, it is the open door that maintains a friendship from the start.
