The Vigil Poem by jay walter

The Vigil

I in my chair,
She among the flowers,
As a peppermint breeze dances through daffodils.
Winter dies,
A spring is born.

There are no words
There are no worlds
There is only wonder at the dreams
Those we've lived
Those we've loved
Those we spend our lifetimes dreaming.

Our visit is done.
Travel safe-
Be warm-
Remember me as I you,
Until we're together again
In another garden.
