The Voting's Over Poem by Edwin Tanguma

The Voting's Over

The Voting's Over

Her name was Mary
Or it could have been Ann
It was not Jewel
I'm her number one fan

I don't eat crackers
They leave too many crumbs
And some small pieces
Even stick to my gums

Doritos are good
Especially cool ranch
I love to eat them
When I do get the chance

Times are really tough
When life is uncertain
Especially when
One lowers the curtain

But life will go on
There will not be a flood
In California
It's legal to smoke bud

The voting's over
It had its ups and downs
Now Donal's the king
Of all the circus clowns

He is a puppet
No matter what he thinks
And he will be one
It is his curse and jinx
