The Wait Poem by Silash Sharma

The Wait

Rating: 5.0

The inner core of me is longing to see the light
There is nothing around, just darkness in my sight.
I just pray and put on the fight
Oh lord! Show me the path that's right.

My life has been like the living hell
I want thy happiness and louder I yell,
Deeper I plunge into the world cold and numb
I feel becoming deaf and dumb.

Thy lord what has the world become
Filled with selfishness, ego and rage
I can't find anyone who gives a damn and care
I feel so unlucky to be born here.

Life always has two sides: Black and White
I am always in the dark and I want to die.

Then I remember,
The night is darkest before the dawn
So I wait and live to see happiness again.
