The Wanderlust In Him Poem by Francis Duggan

The Wanderlust In Him

In his mid twenties in the prime of his life
He has fathered children but not taken a wife
The great coastal highway he drives up and down
And he finds a new girl friend in every town
For one of his years he has travelled far and wide
And he has lots of more travelling for time is on his side
The wanderlust in him a man of the road
He is one of those of the no fixed abode
The lust of the wander is in the young man
He works in a job only for a short span
And then he is back on the highway again
The addiction of the wanderlust in him remain
Another road to drive on another town to see
For his years few are as well travelled as he.
