The Warning Poem by Oluwatomiwo Akinyemi

The Warning

Do not fall in love tonight
I warn you
Do not lead yourself astray
On a night like this
Filled with girdles unguarded
Only Delilah prowls this night
Its past ten
And you ply the red zone
All in the search of true love
Do not say I do not warn
The dog that will get lost
Will not heed his masters’ whistle

REDZONE- WHERE PROSTITUTES DISPLAY THEIR WARES
