The Warning Signs Of Goodbye Poem by hatangimana antoinette

The Warning Signs Of Goodbye

Don't be surprised when I let you go,
I saw it coming; the warning signs were Everywhere.
I saw it in your eyes,
Felt it in your hug,
Heard it in your voice.
So don't be sorry when you say
goodbye.
Your body gave me the warning signs, Told me the secrets of your heart, Whispered it all to me.
Every time we connected,
Your body would steal me,
A glimpse into your heart.
The hand pinning me down grew cold,
The kisses were no longer deep,
The smile you wore while saying you
loved me No longer looked genuine.
So feel free to walk away,
My heart was prepared to let you go
When your eyes started to say
goodbye.
