The Water Runs Sweet Poem by Julian Takali

The Water Runs Sweet

Like another, a stream runs slow
Around ridge and foothill
Bound by fate
Both patient, both flow

Meet they will at a time and place
Set in standstill
In will or in reluctance

Steady in nature
In the north
Set in standstill in time in a grove
By the Great lake to us all home
