The Way Poem by Shirley Drage

The Way

Nothing quite says what I feel today,
A little bit silly, a little bit gay.
Two parts thoughtful, three parts sad,
A whole lot of lonely and just plain mad.

What I want out of life isn't too clear.
Can it be love or just some cheer?
What about peace & happiness too?
Why in this world do I have to choose?

I'm so mixed-up & in a big hurry,
To find life's niche amidst all this flurry.
Help me my Lord to find the way,
And just be grateful for one more day.
