Increasing cough and the wicked people resemble one another,
These differ from the sweetness and the sweet nature in character,
But these, cough and the wicked persons get into control while
Treated with bitter medicine and harsh words respectively!

நேரிசை வெண்பா
துன்னும் இருமலும் துர்ச்சனரும் ஒக்குமே
மன்னும் இனிமையால் மாறாகிப் - பன்னும்
கடுவும் கடுநேர் கடுமொழியும் கண்டால்
கடுக வசமாகை யால்.22 நீதி வெண்பா
