The Wealth Of A Person Not Offering To The Needy Is Equal To A Dog's Cocoanut! Poem by Dr.V.K. Kanniappan

The Wealth Of A Person Not Offering To The Needy Is Equal To A Dog's Cocoanut!

O' the chieftain who has the mountain
where there are roaring waterfalls
and the full grown bamboos
that shower enormous ripened pearls!

Is it not, the abundant wealth of a person
who does not have mind to offer to the needy
and does not utilize to enjoy himself suitably,
equivalent to a dog having a cocoanut?

The dog will neither eat it by breaking
nor allow others to take it and use it!
