The Weapon Warehouses Soon Empty Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

The Weapon Warehouses Soon Empty

Big guns wait, but are there enough?
For a fight that's long and rough.
A powerful army, built so grand,
But bullets can run out, across the land.

Years of fighting, far away,
Cost a lot, day by day.
Now, a whisper, a worried sound,
Not endless weapons, can be found.

This empty space, a chance to see,
A different path, for you and me.
To stop the fight, before it starts,
And mend the world with peaceful hearts.

A war with them, a spreading fire,
Danger for all, rising higher.
No quick end, no clean retreat,
Just broken lives, and bitter defeat.

We need no more, of flying steel,
But thoughtful words, and how we feel.
Leaders wise, with gentle hand,
Not battles fought, across the sand.

Diplomacy's strength, a guiding light,
To choose true peace, and make things right.
