A marriage bed
Where a husband and wife lay their head,
When after they are wed
Underneath forever the same spread.
They will now share their life together
Dreaming under the very same cover,
They are each others only lover
Of their love and faith they'll never sever.
From decades side by side they do lay
Starting out as groom and bride on their wedding day,
Now as husband and wife their hair turned loose and gray
With love for each other nightly they pray.
Years later when in the grave they lay dead
After years of being man and wife they have led,
Love and joy to each other they've gave and said
Forever they still lay side by side in their marriage bed.
