The Wedding That Will Never Be Poem by DOMINIC PREMPEH

The Wedding That Will Never Be

Dogs barking on the corridor
At love thrown to the floor
Trust is at the door
Due to a petty flaw

Promise ring thrown away
With just a day
We could not make hay
On a brighter way

We are tearing apart
Like a fictional story
With improvised characters
And a borrowed diction

This wedding will never be
With that bad seed
Sown in the thick weeds
That is our deeds
