The Weeping Statue Poem by Nilufer Dursun

The Weeping Statue

See marbles with, t's limpid smile
But look most avidly, and in a while
The former image of reflected glee,
Portrays true sorrow, and weeps pityingly.
Each feigned tear that drops from pallid eye-lids
Rolls warmly down it's stony cheeks and trembles
In mist the face is velid where love doth glide
This marble, living broken man resembles.
What genius flash reflecting it's own gleam
Gives life to frozen man marvellously?
What part of love whose symbol roots my mind
What part of love that sometimes fills my thought
When desolate my mood and undefined
