The Weight Within Poem by Lilith Van'Nightinveil

The Weight Within

It's the twilight between fear and fatigue,
Where anxiety and depression quietly intrigue.
To be scared and tired in the same breath,
A paradox, a silent dance with death.

Yearning for success, yet lacking drive,
Ambitions fade, though talents thrive.
Desiring bonds, yet dreading the crowd,
Craving solitude where silence is loud.

Care, a heavy load on shoulders bent,
Then apathy arrives, an unwelcome descent.
Emotions cascade in a turbulent flight,
From overwhelming chaos to barren night.

From the outside, it's a baffling maze,
The constant oscillation, a tiring phase.
For those who watch, the heartache shows,
The weariness in dealing with highs and lows.

It's an emotional roller coaster's ride,
Jerking and jolting, nowhere to hide.
Uncertainty reigns, no end in sight,
No knowing when it'll cease or take flight.

The struggle, a symphony of two-fold pain,
The narrative of those who fight in vain.
An ode to battles waged in silent fights,
A plea for empathy in darkest nights.

In this world of contrasts, the soul feels torn,
Struggling to emerge from the shadows worn.
The weight within, a burdensome cloak,
Draining the spirit, a relentless yoke.

The mind's battleground, a relentless storm,
Fleeting glimpses of calm, then reform.
Seeking solace in an ever-shifting sea,
Lost in thoughts, longing to be free.

Amidst this turmoil, a yearning plea,
For understanding in the eyes that see.
For those entwined in this inner war,
Their whispers echo, longing for more.

Days blending seamlessly, a spectral haze,
The struggle unseen in the sun's bright blaze.
A yearning to break from invisible chains,
Yet confined within, where silence reigns.

Hope flickers faintly in the darkest hour,
A fragile ember, holding inner power.
A beacon in the abyss, seeking light,
Yearning for dawn after the longest night.

The weight within, an unspoken tale,
Where emotions weave, where hearts frail.
For in this battle, one truth remains clear,
Compassion and empathy quell every fear.
