The big wheel turns and we are advanced!
Toward what end?
To a conclusion or a new beginning?
Toward disappointment or a new song?
Do we advance toward an old memory?
To a lost love or a love that never was?
Are we taken to an embrace or a sunny day?
Or a fireplace on a cold winters night?
Do we live our day to a rhythm or a tune?
Does that tune take us to a point of regret or remorse?
Or does our day take us forward, consigning remorse and regret to history?
Do we let a moment in our day become our captor?
Do we give the day a chance?
Or a person we care about an opportunity to enter our lives?
Do we tell those we love that we actually do love them?
Or tell someone we are sorry?
The big wheel rotates us, irrevocably.
