The Wild Whirl Wind Poem by Parimala Rao V

The Wild Whirl Wind

A rhythm was around the corner
A string of rhyme along
Fascinated me to notice a poet within me ….

A whirlwind fast approaching
With lots of fiery things
Blown away with it are my fairy old wings

I was swirled around by the breeze it brought
Made me forget that, how I was caught?
Entangled with obstacles on every twist
Was landed on ground amidst the mist

Brimming with confidence
And hoped for the best
Exams came like a terror
And fear occupied the rest

I tried grabbing a hand
But it was all in vain
Down came the results
As the splashes of an odd rain

Aftermath of the disaster were too hard to bear
Running down my cheek was a tear
Round and clear

Unleashing the grief to the world of mine
Was filled with sorrow and a pain like fine
Realized the effect of my own deeds
Collected the spirit to meet my needs

Then again,
I felt the terror with full confidence
Was off the track of dependence

Struggled hard for my competence
Made a place for my sustenance

The wild whirlwind
Was truly amazing
Left me a scar,
A lesson for understanding.
