The Wind Poem by Josie Hartnett

The Wind

The wind,
Singing the song of life
The sea,
singing the song of forgiveness,
cleansing the soul
The leaves on the trees,
saying how to live forever
the rings of flowers,
saying how to be beautiful,
on the inside and out,
and the animals,
muttering,
Showing how to be happy, not needing material possessions..
Of all the secrets nature holds,
Of all the ones we seek
The only ones we can find are the ones of death, destruction and hatred.
Being blown by the wind, carried across the seas, burned into memories.
living in nature.
The only ones we can find are the ones of death, destruction and hatred.
The ones we wish to forget.
