The Wind Sailed By Yesterday

Rating: 5.0

THE WIND SAILED BY YESTERDAY

The wind sailed by yesterday
At twilight ere the night
Weird, whizzin' and creeping
The way up the sky like ripples,
Which travel up the river banks
When we deep in calm waters.

The wind sailed by yesterday
Discussion in loud whispers
Fighting fierce wars of the unseen
Skidding like drunken spirits
Wiggling round our open barn
Slammin' and slapping
Every matter along its path
And whirling, with the dusk of the earth

The wind sailed by yesterday
Sure, it was the stubborn snake
Twirling with the rolling particles
In that wangle, drying fresh
Fish up in the rack
Beyond the capacity of mighty fires;
The wind sailed by yesterday
And it pushed men like wrestlers
Up and down.

The wind sailed by yesterday
Sueffling like an amours nightingale
Charioting from the west to the east
Flowing and blowing, over and over
In that anger, rolling everything low
It raised the fallen foliage of birch
And trumpeted leaves of fall trees
It makes the trees to dance in familiar styles
As it pushed them, here and there

The wind sailed by yesterday,
The thunder quarried like roaring lions.
The sky which already wanted to cry
Began to shed its silvery tears
After long hours of drumming the roof
The sky was again as white as pulp.

The wind sailed by here yesterday
And after all was done
The streets became a sordid sight to behold.
Yet shops owners still played,
The sweet sounds of highlife.

When the wind sailed by yesterday, your mind went up and down like a lyrical sea. You wrote very beautifully here.
