The Woman In Me Poem by DonnaDeLong Matthews

The Woman In Me

This road I am destined to walk
requires faith and strength
There are days I falter
and feel I just can't go the length

There is not much that I require
just the love of God, Family and Friends
it is these basic needs in life
that carry me to days end

But, and there always seems to be one
my deepest heart's desire
is to have a man to love... to hold
one that can lite my heart's fire

To know the joy
of not always having to be strong
To have a loving man
that I can lean and depend upon

The woman in me
needs the man in you to stay
forever and always
not just for today
