The Word Loser Poem by Francis Duggan

The Word Loser

Rating: 5.0

I must say i hate the word loser
When it's used in a negative way
For to call one such is a put down word
And put down words are easy to say.

For to use the word loser in a dog or a horse race
You might say is the proper word
But when it is used out of context
About that i do feel perturbed.

For the person who use the word 'loser' to put down another
Is not a nice person at all
For he or she has not grown as a person
And mentally and spiritually remain very small.

If you don't like that other person
Leave that other person alone
As the parable says let the person without sin
Be the first person to cast the stone.

There's far too many arrogant and ignorant people
Who believe that they have the right
For to cast aspersions on others
And in the usage of put down words find their delight.

It's not hard to speak badly of others
And to use put down words seem easy to do
And if that other person don't speak ill of you
Then that other person's greater than you.

I must say i hate the word 'loser'
When out of context it is used
For there seems nothing as low or unworthy
As when words for their meaning are abused.
