The World Is Numb...
i had my hair cut
short
went to a clinic
for a skin peeling
had my fingernails
cleaned and
treated for a glossy
look
bought a new pair
of shoes
blue jeans and
white polo shirt
on the first day
of the office after
i got sick
for two weeks i want
that they may see
another personality
in me
nobody notices it
never was there a new me
everyone is as busy as ever
and the world is numb.

nobody notices me- - - everyone is as busy as ever and the world is numb- nicely expressed
