The World Today Poem by Josephine Blackford

Today's world could be a lovely place
for all of us to share, but wars and
situations make it hard for us to care.
If only we could think about others in
their need. Instead of things that
we must have, and not so much of
greed. This world would be a better
place if we listened on our way, and
shared the things we do have with
some one every day. The children
in those far off lands that haven't
food to eat. We could help them all
if we shared our daily meat. If
young folk helped the weaker, and
gave a helping hand.
It surely would be better and make a
happy land. There's lots of ways
that we can help to make a better place.
By being good and caring folk and help
Our human race.
