The Worst Reflection Poem by Brandon Hoeg

The Worst Reflection

Rating: 4.5

In this deadly mirror I stare
I notice the reflection and I start to get scared
I look older now and I have longer hair
Different little features but im still the same man
Next, something happens quite rare
My reflection tells me to beware
Life sucks and nothing here is fair
Then I think of all the breaths that I took
Then I look up
He said put the blades down pick a book up
I realized he just wanted to help
But I'd rather be crazy than be anything else
He stares at me sadly as I start to cry
As im whiping my eyes I tell myself I want to die
No more looking to the sky
No more I'll have to try
Just gotta make the final cut and say my last good-byes
So I pick up the rusty blade
Time to cut all the pain away
Place it on my wrist and i cut the long way
My heart stops moving but my soul forever stays
Look in the mirror
Sadly gaze and say
Sorry my reflection I have let you down.

we are harder on ourselves than we are to others or them to us......it just is.....and pain hurts.....but having someone that you love, someone who makes you laugh.......these things get us through.....and being able to share feelings in poems. :) 10+
