The Written Word Poem by Tor Magnor Solvang

The Written Word

Not every word a law to keep,
Not every verse, a promise deep.
The Book's a guide, a history told,
But faith's a warmth, within untold.

We walk with Jesus, hand in hand,
With love and grace across the land.
His gentle spirit leads the way,
More than commands, of yesterday.

We stumble, fall, and rise again,
God's work continues, even then.
No perfect souls, but hearts that try,
Reflecting His light, in the sky.

The church's voice, a wisdom old,
With stories whispered, bravely told.
The written word, and faith's own fire,
A guiding light, to lift us higher.

We read and learn, we think and pray,
Finding Jesus every day.
Not bound by rules, a rigid chain,
But love's soft whisper, easing pain.
