Thejealous Man Poem by lucas altenberg

Thejealous Man

Nobody loves the jealous man,
They smirk at him,
Laugh at him behind their hands,

Nobody loves the jealous man,
When he walks by they hold close what they love,
When he walks by they point out what he doesn’t have,

The jealous man sees,
He sees what they won’t see,
What they never choose to see,

Nobody loves the jealous man,
They close their door to him,
They leave him wandering in the rain,

The jealous man knows what they have,
The jealous man knows what they want,
He knows because he wants the same,

Beware of the jealous man,
Because he knows what everyone has,
What everyone wants,
What everyone loves,

Beware of the jealous man,
No one loves him,
No one wants him,

And one day you might wake up to find out that he was you all along.
