There Are Those That Delight Poem by Kevin Hulme

There Are Those That Delight

There are those that delight in the Myriad of Stars,
Those vast Constellations both near and afar,
The spur amongst gazers and lovers throughout time,
To give rapture to Playwrights and add flavour to Rhyme.
There are many who delight in the Dawns birthing cry,
To chase away shadows and give life to the Sky,
Where Songsters call from the nearby trees
About the Whisper of Spring on the Sweet Scented Breeze.
There are many who delight in the Flowers of May,
To the mist covered dales they'll wander and stray,
And drink all that Hera's bounty there paid,
Wearing ringed floral Chaplets
Dame Nature had laid.
But what need do I of Starry-Skies
The blinding Sun upon the rise,
The patchwork fields of green and gold;
I have her Love, her eyes to hold.
