There's No Fear Poem by Suryendu Chaudhury

There's No Fear

Come near, there's no fear,
No death shall bother your soul.

Come near, there's no fear,
No life shall exist to enliven your soul.

Come near, there's no fear,
Violence has already set its foot far off.

Come near, there's no fear,
Blood has stopped its passage, its flow.

Come near, there's no fear,
Futility is too base an expectation.

Come near, there's no fear,
Fangs of time have pierced too deep.

Come near, there's no fear,
All is but a reflection, your own.

Come near, there's no fear,
Keep those thoughts at bay.

Come closer, let your breath freeze,
See, feel: you aren't afraid!
