There is a place in my mind
Where I hide my secrets deep
Secrets that I cannot find
Problem is that I have the key to keep
Unlocking the door anytime I sleep
Wish I could erase those memories of you
The ones that hurt so much
Times that I did reach out and hold you
When I did not feel your touch
Perhaps it makes us much better
Knowing the pain should not have been
If only I could write you a letter
Explaining how I really feel
Lying here completely still, staring at the sky
Not wondering anymore, nor asking why
Is the past really better than it is now
Are the good memories all my heart will allow
