These Are The Bright Days Poem by Mohammad Younus

These Are The Bright Days

These are the bright days,
moments pure and rare,
Never meant to carry names,
but to simply be.
All of us—necessary beings,
bearing divine spark—
With sacred purpose,
wisdom, and knowledge
inscribed within.

Our souls did not rise
from wild monkeys' play,
Nor did conscience spark
in the ape's gaze.
Our understanding did not spring
from a gorilla's roar—
So how did music and poetry
carve their glorious forms within us?

Not from the echoes of primal cries,
but through divine breath,
not born of noise, but sacred wake.
From the mystery, we hear
the call of violin, harp, and lute,
Played by angelic mermaids—
ethereal guides of song
swimming in the ocean of our soul.
They weave melodies that cradle joy,
lifting smiles, freeing laughter,
Calling us back to our roots—
to the music divine,
first heard on that sacred day
when light met sound in cosmic play.
