These Are The Signs Of Fall Poem by Rannet Hanson

These Are The Signs Of Fall

The Signs

of Fall

Claire was playing in the park,
She wasn't tired, but it was already dark.

Her Mom said, 'Fall will be here soon,
Tonight we will see the autumn moon.

We hear the geese making a honking call,
These are all signs of fall.

The leaves are falling from the trees,
I can feel that Northern breeze.

The air is cooler when it's night,
and the birds are on their Southern Flight.

On the T.V. we see football,
These are all signs of fall.

People have picked the apples and the pears,
and taken them to the county fairs.

They've picked the beans and the corn,
We can see the frost, early in the morn.

Grandmother is wearing her woolen shawl,
These are all signs of fall.'

The trees were pretty, all red and gold,
but Claire was starting to get cold.

'Let's go home and have a treat, '
Claire exclaimed as she jumped to her feet.

The leaves were starting to fall,
This is a certain sign of fall.
