These Days Of Autumn. Poem by Sandra Kavanagh Josefsson

These Days Of Autumn.

These days of autumn.

The leaves are crisp and dry today,
as they fall to the ground.
The oak tree casts it acorns
simultaneously
and I hear their popping sound.

Claret, coffee, lighter shades of beige are the colours that I see.
Oh the beauty of the oranges, the coral, apricot, saffron and tangerine.

What peace it brings me,
as I walk immersed in nature.
The evocative sound of the wind whistling through the trees,
I savour.

The water of the nearby stream,
gargles, splatters and bubbles,
as leaves and small twigs float onby,
where the ducks and coots huddle.

These days of autumn
are to be much admired.
They leave me with much awe and wonder and feeling very inspired.
