These Girls Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

These Girls

These girls

My colleagues,
Mostly girls,
Suffer and complain,
Or sob and shed tears!

Yesterday, one of them,
One of the exceptions,
A settled, married girl,
Drove to a driveway…

I, somehow, know not why,
Walked to find a location,
To stop and guard the
Traffic, single lane.

Saw tears in her eyes,
Waited and let her talk,
And she did:
"Am tired of insults! "

As some son, brother,
Boyfriend, and husband,
A nephew and father,
Never felt like the girls.

So, I see, listen, judge,
Using my heart and mind,
Never as the girls who,
Feel with bones and skin.

Sympathized with the girl,
Openly opposed the male,
And the way he behaved,
Just because? ? ?

Just because of his age?
Or because he is a male?
Because of his ranking?
Or years of experience?

What about the wisdom?
