These Words Of Mine Poem by Aidan Clevinger

These Words Of Mine

My dear I don't have money
For gifts and presents to buy.
And I'm not too good at talking
(You know, you've seen me try)

Yet there is something I can do
To show what's on my mind and heart
These words of mine perhaps aren't much,
But perhaps they can be a start.

It seems like such a simple thing,
These strokes of black on lines of blue.
But words can do what money can't
They can tell you how I care for you.

And never before have there been so many,
I've never had so much to say.
There's never been another girl
Who gets me to feel this way.

So hey, I'm not perfect,
I know I sometimes leave things in doubt.
But should you ever start wondering how I feel
Jus take these words of mine out.
