They Stitched My Tongue Poem by sundaram chandrakalaadhar

They Stitched My Tongue

THEY STITCHED MY TONGUE

&

they stitched my tongue with their arrogant clubs

and robbed me naked for the mindless YELLOW

swishing their blinding blades letting out my throbbing RED-

i became a tattered football in the game of their orgy

and suffocated drenched in their nasty abuses in flood-

my journeys in city buses resembled my funeral procession

with unruly namesake students battering the interior-

the courts transformed into centres of lawlessness and deceit

and the angel of blinded justice drowning in the seas of violence-

the unions, like kids, tearing to pieces the toy of industry-

the politicians, steeped in corruption and arrogance from tip to toes

yes, there is the pitiful wail of dharmaa on the flesh-strewn streets!
