They Watch Poem by Steven Elsner

They Watch

They watch our every move.
He.. he watches.
Everyone watches.

Will you watch too?
All hours of the day, they watch.
Laborously, they watch.
Lavishly, they wait.
Still, we are being watched.

He grins at our haste.
Almost done now, they think.
Victorious? they're mistaken.
Everyone watches.

Every thing is monitored.
Yes, they watch us.
Everyone watches.
Still, we are being watched.
