Thingamajig Poem by James Asher

Thingamajig

Hi, my name’s, um, um; thingamabob.
Yep that’s it, not Bob but Paul! ! !
And I live in a…………..What’s it called; opposite to small?
It’s not very big, or very tall.
It’s an ishy type of………whatsit
Sounds like mouse, aah! That’s it a house! ! !
It’s in a town called…bloody hell...you know; Youknowville,
That’s the one, Somerville! ! !
It’s near that place, um, aaah; somewhere.
Not very far but nowhere near here!
Over there…….it’s county Kair! ! !
It has a, god! Yep! C’mon….A greenish, squarey, thingy.
Surrounded by a doodah.
One in the front and one in the back
I can’t remember; my memory’s slack.
“Sorry, ”
“Pard’n.”
You got it;
It’s a gard’n! ! !

Now you’ve just met thingamabob.
Who lives in a whatsit,
In a town called youknowville.
Not here; there; but somewhere.
It has a greenish squarey thingy
Surrounded by a doodah
With one in the front; one in the back
“Sorry, ” can’t remember; memory’s slack.
Hi, my name is Paul.
I live in a house that’s not very big or very tall.
In a village called Somerville,
Not heard of it….you will! !
In the county, just over there the ones that’s called County Kair.
I have two gardens, surrounded by a fence
Just a sign of my defence,
I’ve one in front; one in the back,
Yes! I can remember; my memory’s back! ! !
