Things Aren't Quite The Same Poem by Hayden Eyster

Things Aren't Quite The Same

Rating: 5.0

does it hurt enough
not yet
the black clouds inside
match the crescents
around my eyes
and the warmth
envelops me
but the feelings tag
behind
brittle bones break
words
and mine are dust
weakness courses through
my veins
strong
you need this
they don't like you
and they shouldn't
you'll be found out
they'll laugh
perturbed boy
your back
like your smile
is broken
