Things could be better
And things could be worse
You could be riding
In the back of a hearse
Money's not raining
But atleast the airs free
Until some big business
Decides you shouldn't breath
Friends might be few
But a couple can do
When your feeling down
They hold you like glue
A mother that loves
When your broken inside
Is stronger then fathers
Who never once tried
You might never be
A star that is loved
But shine for yourself
Then you'll fly like a dove
Don't follow demagogues
Or you'll be a good mark
Blind Loyalies for dogs
Who only know how to bark
Remember a country
Is nothing but dirt
Whats worth spilling blood
When it's the innocent hurt?
There might never be
A brighter tomorrow
All you have is right now
So laugh or cry sorrow
So things can be better
Or things can be worse
Until the day comes
When your back in that hearse
