Things Left Unsaid - Poem by Katherine Wilson

You looked at me
and you wouldn't look away
Oh, so many things
I wanted to say.
I looked right back
into your big blue eyes
Looking back at you
makes me want to cry.

So many things
left unsaid
the words we want to say
buzzing in our heads
Wanting to come out;
wanting to be heard.

Be we know time is running out
We know what we must do -
Without a doubt.
Saying these things
that must be heard
or letting everything go;
And not finding out
the one thing
we both need to know.
