Thinking Clearer Now. Poem by J.D Lynch

Thinking Clearer Now.

Rating: 5.0

</>I wanna go for a drive...somewhere I've never been before...far from here and closer to home...just a nice little forest somewhere, walk around, float around, for a few hours and take in everything, and hope not to be disturbed by others, but if I am, that I don't see it as a disturbance but rather simply another species of nature to which I happen to belong...nothing more nothing less than a deer or a coyote which I would just as likely see... or go to some Island in Lake Michigan where the air is cold and wet, somewhere, anywhere where I don't have to think about my future, or be haunted by my past but just...be...where I don't have to keep my mind sharp with gymnastics or invention...where I don't have to shy away from the pure and utter bs that our fabric hanging by a thread we call society is built upon...where music may play...but doesn't need to...where I might be able to bloody sleep...where I don't need a screen to entertain me or educate me, for all I would ever need to see or hear or know is right in front of me...where the car I took to come to this place would be unwelcome...an alien object far from the concrete jungle...where I would set it on fire and no one but me would hear...where I wouldn't have to worry about procreation, again just be.
