Thinking Of You - Poem by julie jeansonne

When our lips touched
I felt like a part of you
That our bodies were not separate
I was hoping you felt the same way too.

Your love is what I always wanted
I wanted it more than anything
I wanted to be your special girl
The person that made your heart sing.

Your love was keeping my heart alive
Your voice was a soft lullaby
I would hear it in my ears at night
Though it make me want to cry.

Every day I see you at school
And every time my heart beats faster
But when you are not to be seen
My life becomes a complete disaster.

When I see you smiling across the room
Or hear your voice in the halls
My heart lifts several inches higher
Breaking down the invisible walls.

Even though I can see you there
Its just like a picture to me
For comforting words I can never hear
Just a sweet hello is all it can be.

I have said it a million times before,
To my friends but not to you
Wishing that my dreams are reality
Hoping only that they could be true.

If only I knew what you were thinking,
What your deepest emotions really were,
Than maybe only than I would understand
Why up close you are just a single blur.

Until then I am really only guessing
For the day may never come
But the thing I know for sure
Is in my heart you are the only one.

For when our lips touched
I felt like a part of you
That our bodies were not separate
I am hoping you feel the same too!
