Thirst (A Tritina Poetry Form) Poem by Priya Patel

Thirst (A Tritina Poetry Form)

I thirstily drink the poison
Like a vampire drinks blood
With just enough purpose in mind

Death by lust floats on my mind
As my body soaks in the poison
The warm liquid swims in my blood

With heated desire, your eyes red like blood
Images of your touch flash in my mind
as you lean in close to feed more of your poison

Your love is my poison, your desire flows in my blood and in my mind, we are but one
