This Beautiful Place Poem by Terrence Johns

This Beautiful Place

We’ve heard of a place, we’ve heard it for so long,
Its beauty is unchanging and not one thing is wrong.
Peace unimagined just beyond the outer space,
I wish I could tell everyone about this beautiful place.

We worked and we toiled to gain Eden back down there.
The sweating and striving for so so many years.
But things are so much better here, as we behold His grace.
I wish I could tell everyone about this beautiful place.

I struggled and I suffered for oh so many years.
I remember every night we both shed fearful tears.
But now there is no pain. I finally see His face!
I wish I could tell everyone about this beautiful place.

Though He was in control, I did not like, or understand
The things that He was doing. I couldn’t see His plan.
But now I have the answer. All sickness is erased!
I wish I could tell everyone about this beautiful place.

I want you to come and live here, yes live here all your days.
We’ll walk and smell the flowers and sing to Him in praise.
The wonder and the beauty of His Amazing Grace!
Oh, I wish I could tell everyone about this beautiful place.
